Are we beginning to see another pattern here? June of '92 (Cantor was in July of '93, Ron and Nicole June of '94). Repeated stabbing. Special Circumstances. Disappearing fingerprint. I really don't know what to make of it but I find it hard to look past clusters like this until I can tell what they mean, if anything.
Maybe these are commonly occurring clusters of events and we are just sensitized to them because we see them through the prism of the Bundy murders. Maybe these are standard ways of setting people up BECAUSE they occur so often or because they are noted so rarely. I just don't know. I'm very reluctant to draw any kind of conclusion, although the Special Circumstances aspect of the killings did strike me as a useful guide for a frame-up in the Bundy murders.
I was also reminded of how well Mark Fuhrman researched things before he got involved in something big. I was thinking specifically about his study of psychology before he tried to get a stress-related retirement from the LAPD. I was thinking about his study of problem search warrants before he climbed the wall at Rockingham and his study of stab wounds and the kinds of knives that can produce them before he wrote his book. Maybe that means something and maybe it doesn't. If we knew that he or another officer had researched this case before the Bundy murder, that would definitely call for a closer look. --Jasper
