Jean, I don't want to hold the mother responsible for her and her baby's death. Nobody knows what happened before the mother and baby were shot. She could have been forced to show herself. They needed a martyr and they got it. Just remember that the extreme christian right treat their women like cattle and think of them as "breeders of righteous men".
