Martz is the one that Whitehurst said screwed up the testing on some items (like the piece of Ryder truck) from the bombing.
He is is worse that the other FBI lab guy who did NO testing AT ALL from items at the scene and testified it was a fuel and fertilizer bomb on a certain number of pounds.
When asked how did he come to that conclusion, he said he based it on how much fuel and fertilizer that he was told McVeigh and Nichols bought. It other words--a pure guess --and a weak one at that.
That would be like a pathologist being asked how did a person die and him stating it was a knife. And when asked how did he come to that conclusion since he did not do an autopsy, he says well the suspect owns a knife but not a gun so it had to be a knife.
Ridiculous!!
Were you aware that Martz said he found bomb residue on McVeigh's shirt but later when tested again it was not there. ???
