Jean,

Many of Darden's revelations may be Freudian slips like Fuhrman's in his book Murder in Brentwood, which I used as the basis for The Smoking Gun and The Smoking Gun 2.

I wrote at lenght in The Smoking Gun (don't forget Tombstone Pizza) about the signifcance of tombstones in the Bundy murders and there is much more in the chapters that I wrote since I posted chapter 14 of The Smoking Gun 2. I'm working on Chapter 25 now, which is the second chapter in The Smoking Gun 2 devoted mainly to Twin Peaks. You will see a key tombstone connection in Twin Peaks, too.

The shoes represent another recurring theme in The Smoking Gun and The Smoking Gun 2. Remember, Nicole purchased Bruno Magli shoes for herself. When Tom Lange showed Dominique Brown a brochure of Bruno Maglie shoes, she recognized the company logo. She took off a shoe that she was wearing that she said belonged to Nicole and showed Lange the Logo on the shoe.

Everyone knows that Nicole did not have shoes on when she was photographed but I have othen wondered what kind of shoes she wore to the recital and what she did with them when she got home. I am not convinced that she was barefoot when she left the house and I have never ruled out the possibility that the killer took them. Wouldn't it have been a TOO MUCH of a coincidence if she and her killer were both wearing the same brand of shoe at the same time and in the same place? --Jasper
