The reason that the privilage goes back to the day O.J. Simpson came back to LA from Chicago was the for the purpose of a blanket of time in case premeditation existed. This protects the privilage and the rights of the Lawyer/Client Privilage. So many of O.J. Simpson's friends had this privilage and it had nothing to do with the Bronco Chase, it had to do with whatever they told their attorney that just might be about the murder that may include them. What might be remarakable is if none of the Plaintiffs witnesses used the same form of blanket privilage for this purpose? O.J. Simpson's real friends knew that most or all they said would hit the media as incriminating. Anytime they were able to say they had not spoken about it with O.J. even his children said that he wouldn't speak of it. When readind depositions it is imperative to realize that any tool that can be used to not answer a question is used whether necessary or not. It is just a tool. If you told your attorney it is privileged information and the attorney can claim it for you as well as you can claim it. Many times, even in O.J. Simpson's depo you can almost see him looking at Baker like it his nuts for claiming privilege as Baker knew it was a loser case from the get go. It is why the property insurance paid for the defense but refused the pay the award which is illegal in itself. O.J. Simpson had to truly anger people and paying the awared would have let it calm down, he had paid his bill for killing those two so very innocent and trusting people. <yeah right> Legal tactics make so little sense in regards to what is true and what is a lie. It is all about who puts on the best show and who the jury believes. For example, during the Rae Carruth trial the Prosecutor made such a big deal about how Rae Carruth had to be in on it or else why did the hit man have a gun and a mask. He seemed to forget as did the Defense attorney, that of the two people, Rae Carruth and Cherica Adams, Rae Carruth was the only one who might recognize the driver or the hitman. The hit was on Rae Carruth because he pulled out of a drug deal subsidy scheme. The man went nuts, hired a hitman and trailed the couple waiting to kill Rae Carruth. When he realized that Rae Carruth was going to parts unknown and the girl flipped him off he shot her. She believed it was about the baby because she was trying to turn a one night stand which caused a baby into a marriage. Sound a bit familiar????? Why do these women who stalk and seduce famous men end up dead and then they become angels. If you tell the truth, then you are demonizing the victim, if you keep her past silent because the police didn't bother to investigate, then you are hiding something to save yourself. The media has gone wild. I remember the day President Kenneddy was murdered. The Press would not announce his death despite the head shot that clearly killed him. We maybe didn't see it then, but others saw it first hand. The people on the street knew he was dead just by seeing the shot, but even though the media helped personal misbehavior be covered up, they didn't let real news go by. Now with the new owners like Disneyland etc... of networks and cable news we have horribly biased media who is as yellow as severe Jaundice and just as deadly.
