Fuhrman was a homocide detective then. Both were the local team in Brentwood (as was others).
I haven't heard of homocide detectives doing this--Unless it was threats on her LIFE.
I have also wondered if they weren't particularly "asked" for by Nicole. Part of the "Nicole's cop" legend.
I have read somewhere where Phillips said he never met Nicole during that time which gives more thought to the idea that Fuhrman was the one actually contacted.
I keep recalling that Ito himself made reference to how Fuhrman kept showing up in Nicole's life and he wondered about it. In that exchange--in court--he mentions the Oct. 911 call in the list of things he mentions as well.
