Surely if the police notice car keys near a murder victim their next thought would be to look around for a vehicle. How far away from Bundy residence was the car parked? Doesn't it seem strange that Ron did not just stop in front of the gate and buzz, if the reason for going there was to drop off the glasses. Miss Marple
