In the last couple of days, I have read the transcript of Riske in the civil trial
We have discussed before whether or not he lied in the criminal trial and more.
A read of the civil trial testimony will get rid of that question for you --forever.
When he testified that he did nothing to determine whether the ice cream was melted or unmelted and that he did nothing to determine the temperature of the water in the bath--I knew it for sure. Of course, the key to whether it is "perjury" is in the way the question is asked but it is clear the MIsrepresentation he was giving to a jury that had not watched the criminal trial.
But there were a couple of bombshells that if we had known or put together with other facts at the time, we would have realized something MAJOR was wrong with the cops' story much sooner---and where it was wrong.
He testifies when asked that he did search around for parked cars and that there were NO PARKED CARS EITHER ON BUNDY OR ON DOROTHY> Kinda puts a new perspective on WHY it took 3 searches to find Ron's borrowed car parked near the end of the alley way and that the car wasn't "found" until about 4 pm on Monday and that when they did, the steering wheel had been wiped clean of prints.
Another bombshell is that Riske refuses to ID a photo of the first blood drop being by the glass door and down spout. He says the first drop was by the front door. When asked to clarify where this was, he says that it was 30 to 40 feet back from the bodies. The blood drop presented to the court as the first one by the front door is perhaps 15 ft back by the "glass" front door and downspout.
He and Rossi both testify that the shoeprints were gone by the time they got half way back when in fact the DA's presented prints that went all the way to the back of the property.
There is more but this is getting long and I have to go to an appt.
One last thing---after being asked several times by both sides what was found INSIDE the crime scene and what he saw (and how he searched with his flashlight), he fails at every point to ever mention a set a keys.
