I just figured out why the CA Supreme Court did what they did. The CA Constitution is framed much like the US Constitution except for one thing of major distinction. It is Framed around the protections of Individual Rights. We in CA also have a Balanced Budget Amendment and had they heard the case they would have been forced to give him what he wanted, they would have been forced by provisions of the Constitution of CA to give him the phone bill and other bits of evidence that would have given him a lawsuit against not just LAPD but the entire State of California completely destroying the balaned Budget of the state. Now, in the late seventies the CA Constitution was upheld by the strictest standards in regards to the bills passed like, Use A Gun Go To Jail. Since this law was struck down as it trampled individual rights, the CA SUPRENE COURT JUSTICES were pretty much tossed from office. Plus we ended up with 16 years of Republican Gov's who stripped Education and Social Programs that people worked hard for. Forgive me for being wordy, but because of the political ramifications and the slow attempt to rebuild CA to where it was in the late 1970's which was a pretty cool place to live, and now is not a happy place anymore thanks to the CIA using us as a proving ground for their tricks, the Supreme Court of the State just goes along and does what they have to just to keep their jobs. Our Constitution is not even understood by those who hold the title of Supreme Court Justice except when it came to this case as I am sure they were told why they could not turn O.J. Simpson down because he has made it clear, he is INNOCENT and will not back down. I won't be surprised if he doesn't go to the UN if the US Supreme Court doesn't overturn his Liable verdict which was illegally gained. Sorry for the info as much of it you didn't need but when it hit me WHY, and that it was more than just political it was about MONEY.
