At some point OJ said that he had taken care of his kids future money wise. I would think that it is some kind of trusts that had been set up.
I would believe that the Browns did the suit with the OK from OJ. It preserved a third of the estate for the kids.
To this day OJ and the Browns are still friendly except for the daughters. Even after Lou not giving his OK for the phone bill. OJ does not seem to blame them for anything they have done that seems to have been against him.
Obviously a lot goes on behind the scencs that we have no idea about or why.
Rufo and Fred saw dollar signs, having no idea that OJ was one smart financial cookie.
