One reason why it is thought Denise was involved somehow was her failure to acknowledge that she knew Shipp and Faye. For some reason, she didn't want this known. As Jasper mentions, it only came out in the civil trial when Baker asked her if Shipp and faye were in the car with her when she was stopped by the police.(She was apparently under the influence of something or another). When Baker popped the question, her attorney instructed her not to answer. Why?
Also, it could be she was involved in a scheme with the others--especially--Faye as part of some plan to gain access to some of OJ's money. If so, I don't think that in such a plan Nicole was to be harmed. That might have not been planned at all, but could've happened when something went wrong. The diary entries, the photos in the safe deposit box, the fact that she "identified" the shoes OJ was wearing at the recital, her mom's revised recollection and the funny phone bill all should've been studied further.
The link to Ron Shipp is also interesting. He hired an attorney the day after the murders. J Neil Schulman even theorized that Shipp was the murderer.
Then there is Faye. OJ is certain of her involvement. Her interviews, book, and other comments were all a sham. At the very least, she knows more of the story than she has admitted.
Finally, the fact that Denise showed up at the trial accompanied by Toni Fiato is also interesting. Very curious indeed.
