Recently, a PI named Bill Dear has written a book about Jason not being investigated and is a viable candidate as a suspect--or was at the time.
I am using this just as an example. I have not read the book but I gather he has documented that a FULL investigation was not done so I use this as a Good Example for my point.
Dear suggests that perhaps Jason "lost it" and called OJ and OJ went over to Bundy.
Well, if (and it is a big if) that happened, a REAL investigation of this case which involved phone dumps on the major player's phones would have revealed it.
If they were REALLY investigating, they would have tried to pin down times with these phone records.
Waiting 2 weeks to get Nicole's answering machine tapes from the Browns is another example. Why weren't they taken on the 13th--OJ the suspect or not? Those tapes might have recorded threats from OJ or others on them yet they don't bother to get them til 2 weeks later. (I think it is because they DID do a phone dump.)
A real investigation would have required a phone dump of calls at Nicole's, Ron's and OJ's and perhaps other major players.
If done, for example, a call from Jason at 10:15, 10:30 or 10:40 would have shown up, now wouldn't it? It would have shown up and raised eyebrows whether Jason was a suspect or not since OJ did not mention any call from Jason or anybody else for that matter.
They told us the last call on Nic's phone was destroyed by Riske making a call on it. That is not true. A phone dump would have retrieved the call.
Phone dumps might have not only pinned down the killing time, etc. but might have actually been a TOOL to get more evidence against OJ. In fact, in an ordinary case, this is normal to do.
Therefore, I maintain, that not only was no investigation done for other possible killers, NO INVESTIGATION OF OJS WENT ON EITHER!!!!!!
At every turn they FAILED to get a motive, more evidence, etc.
Now the BIGGY question is WHY? charlie
