100% agree with both Kari and Ms. Marple here.
The very idea that we are to believe that every single cop, criminalist, coronor and coroner assistents, office people, DA's, everybody who touched this case suddenly went into "terminal stupidity" at 12 midnight on JUne 12, 1994 and stay that way for nearly 2 years and then suddenly went back to their competent selves is just TOO much for me. In fact, they only suffered terminal stupidity in the OJ case.
It has been very enlightening rereading Evidence Dismissed. I stated before how I had forgotten how dramatically written and silly it was.
But I also noticed after a time has passed that looking back at things from what we know now compared to when I first read it, the book SCREAMS out as a coverup.
If this book could have been used (and in my opinion the judge should have allowed it but didn't because of what it Would show) as public statements by the Vannatter and Lange--it could have gotten very interesting.
And with Dan Moldea writing as told by Vannatter and Lange--it was a propaganda book. But then Moldea is good at it. Much like Gerald Posner.
It (on rereading) is almost funny...funny ha ha not strange--although it is that as well.
Like the paragraph to tell the reader what a trustworthy person William Hodgeman is.
And the times that they contradict themselves. Oh, my.
And they must have thought their readers were retarded.
