Yes, Kari, they wanted us to believe that practically eveyone who was involved in the case was more or less incompetent. They needed to give that impression to explain all the inconsistencies in the evidence. Think about it: Rohkar, LAPD photographer, forgetful, on a long list of debilitating medications. Peratis, nurse, heart trouble, forgetful, on medications. Dr. Golden, coroner, made so many mistakes during the autopsies they didn't even call him in the trials. The coroner's criminalist had a broken leg. "could not roll onto any murder scene that night". (Pg. 48 Evidence Dismissed) Did they only have one criminalist? Ratcliffe from the coroner's office, "a rather large woman who changes around evidence when she moves". (Pg.51, Evidence Dismissed) And then there are Fung and Mazzola and of cause Dumb and Dumber, the racist Fuhrman, his imaginary friend Roberts and the cops, seen on TV with note books and pens, who didn't take notes.
It's just to much to be believed. Miss Marple
