That call from Patti concerning the car and the keys was a scolding or a warning to Ron that she wasn't happy about what she was hearing.
It might be as simple as she is unhappy that he is driving it without a license but the warning seems to be connected with the fact that there is a deadline with Andrea returning the next day.
The missing apartment key is looming large to me.
I think that if the time people had known that--they would have looked at these murders differently.
The only person who was alleged to have gone into that apartment on Monday was KIM. Lots of conversation about it. About why was she allowed to do it. About why wasn't his apartment considered part of the scene and taped off.
Later she denied that story but for a long long while that was part of the public knowledge surrounding this case.
She basically told of it in so many words when she said on tv (with her Dad sitting next to her) that she found Ron's restuarant plans and Fred looked startled. She turned to him and said, I don't think you knew about that. He shook his head no he didn't. Later Fred not only to have known about it but also that he had invested in it.
So at some time Kim found those plans when Fred was not there to see them.
