The reasons for the first barking bares some thought. One reason is that nobody else puts the barking (continuously) that early.
It could be with him going into different parts of the house and then hearing the dog again later, he made the assumption the dog had barked continually from that time when in fact, there was a time with no barking and then it started up again. c
