All,
There may be a way(s) to test this bill in other ways.
I have an old GTE bill of my Mom's here. This was prior to the change to Verizon.
The columns are the same with the notations for Eve, Day, Night, etc. It has a 2:50pm call on it on a weekend and it says Night (rate), A Friday night call at 7:49pm that is EVE yet a 6:03pm call is a Day call.
She doesn't have GTE long distance so hers indicates that AT&T is Billed.
I am seeing (thru search) that GTE may not have had long distance in LA until after Telecommunications Bill of 97 or 98. Also I can find nowhere that California is listed in those Regional plans. It is a fairly new concept also brought along with that same bill.
GTE long distance and regional calls only came to NY for example a couple of years ago.
NOwhere on that bill does it say AT&T or Sprint or anything like that.
My Verizon bill has the day of the week on it but then again, I have GTE long distance now. The GTE/AT&T bill of Mom's does not have it (like the alleged Brown's bill)
I am going to work soon but trust me, I will be searching here for a Verizon bill with AT&T services to see if there is a difference--day of the week, etc.
I want to know if the changes were Verizon's or if the changes were from AT&T to GTE long distance.
I searched Regional telephone plans + California and got nothing but did get them for RI, and many OTHER states as an individual site but nothing with California attached. Tried the same for LA.
Some of you might want to look.
Also, I think there are 18 calls on this bill and it is cut off as if there were more just not shown. I am not sure that one of the pages of a phone bill would handle that many without going to a new page---you know how fond the phone companies are in sending multi-page bills with little to nothing on some pages. It says that it was the 6th of a 17 page bill!
I am going to look to see if I can find a bill in which there were TOO many for one page and see at what number they stopped and went TO another page. You all could be of a help if you would look also. I may not have one that long.
If GTE long distance was NOT available in 94 and neither was a regional bill, we have this nailed. c
