Dr. Johnson torpedoed his own case by insisting that the phone records would prove that Nicole was alive and talking to her mother at 11:00. That's the phone record he's trying to recover.
It doesn't exist.
The first and last time we talked about Iago he told me to forget my "theory" about Fuhrman and the timeline of the killings because he had proof that Nicole was alive when O.J. was standing in his driveway wih Park and Kato. He said that Juditha's initial statement that she talked to Nicole at 11:00 plus the fact that she could not have arrived home in time to have made the call about her glasses to Mezzalu from there was proof that she must have made the call at 11:00. I told him that the call could have been made from a cell phone. He told me to wait and see and that I didn't have long to wait because he was expecting to get access to the records that would prove he was right within a short time.
As I understood it at the time, the judge threw out his request, not because it came late, but because he didn't agree with Johnson's logic... I didn't either. The judge conconcluded that the record he was seeking did not exist.
When Keith restores the archives you will see that we had a knock-down , drag-out fight about that phone record here on this board. The record Marcia Clark used in the criminal trial is the one he got. It showed the call to Mezzaluna at 9:47 (or was it 9:49?). The same record (we could not learn if it was on the same bill) showed a call from the Brown's home in Monarch Bay to Nicole's condo in Brentwood 10:17. The record showed that the call lasted for 11 minutes, ending at 10:28. This was the last recorded call to Nicole's home on Juditha's phone records. Johnson claimed that this record was faked, which is why he was trying to get another record from the Browns. He was looking for one that proved his theory.
Oh yeah, another part of his theory is that anyone who doesn't agree that the 11:00 record must exist, must be a fool. --Jasper
