Comments Please explain to me how Furhman can guarantee that a noise will make Kato come out of his guest house? ******************************************************** A very good question, considering also that Kaelin would be invisible to anyone on the south path, and so could not even know whether or not Kaelin was in his room, in the main house, in the pool or jacuzzi, or somewhere else on the grounds. ********************************************************** A chicken sort like Kato who will do anything and say anything to keep himself in the clear. ****************************************************** I hate it when people make that kind of statemnt about Kaelin. Kari: do you know him personally? What, then is your basis for this characterization? KAELIN himself never said he was a surfer (ironically enough, there is no public record that Kaelin ever went surfing. It certainly wasn't one of his major pasttimes at the time of the murders) dude/flake/dude/bozo/ chicken. All these qualities have been ascribed to him by others or by the media. 95% of what is publicly writtten about Kaelin is in Eliot's book, and the Kaelin in that one is a rather gutsy, conniving, manipulative sort. ****************************************************** Had he thought a prowler was behind his guest house he would have called O.J. gone to O.J.'s door, or else wiggled the door into the house with the alarm on it and locked to cause the alarm to go off at Westec. ****************************************************** WRONG! THAT DOOR WAS **NOT** ALARMED. See the testimony of Ms. Silva at the criminal trial. Also, though the door was "locked", this lock was simple enough for small children to defeat unaided. Kaelin for sure and I believe OJ both testified in civil trial depositions that OJ had been in Kaelin's room once before the night of the murders -- when Sydney and Justin opened the connecting door and invaded into Kaelin's room. No alarm went off. ********************************************************** Kato is not the protector type. Especially using a penlight. I don't mean to sound sarcastic. This is just common sense. Maybe Kato would have checked but with the other two options, how can Furhman have control of this situation? Now, if Furhman has something on Kato or else has watched Kato and seen his habits, he might know that on Sunday nights Kato meets someone behind his guest house. ********************************************************* This hypothesis is in the class with those of the guy who said that Park accidentally hit the Ashford gate and caused a vibration that caused an animal to jump on Kaelin's air conditioner. Or the more recent poster who suggested that Park saw the light in in Kaelin's room and went behind it and made the three thumps.

The thing these three hypotheses have in common is:

THEY ALL DISPLAY A TOTAL IGNORANCE OF THE ROCKINGHAM ESTATE LAYOUT. WHY THE HELL DON'T YOU LOOK AT A DIAGRAM OF THE ROCKINGHAM GROUNDS BEFORE YOU SAY SOMETHING THIS UNGODLY STUPID!!!??

Saying this is something like saying one of your family members would arrange to meet someone on the roof of your house, or in the crawl space. ********************************************************** I have always believed a connection between Kato and Furhman, however you didn't so I came up with other options that still fit. I also have figured that if he was watching Kato that he soon discovered that Kato was one who put himself in the middle of hoopla and media *********************************************************** The trouble with that is that Kaelin had never managed, in spite of the trying typical of any aspiring actor, to actually put himself "in the middle of the hoopla and media". ********************************************************* so that if some hint even to Kato that something was up Kato might make the best of it. The most understandable reasoning is that Kato believed he was part of a group of Nicole's friends who were planning to set up a Domestic Violence Incident between O.J. Simpson and Nicole, ************************************************************* Unless you were engaged in some rather frequent and rather intimate contact with Kaelin, what you would assume is that, if Kaelin got wind of such a plot, he would likely inform OJ. That is, you would have to be virtual certain that Kaelin would join you before you tried to recruit him. This kind of contact would be rather hard to conceal from the type of investigating you would expect to occur after the murders.

While none of this makes this part of your theory impossible, it does make it rather incredible. *********************************************************

making Nicole five million and O.J. is in Chicago not realizing what has happened until he is called. Everyone hears Nicole's side before O.J. can come home and tell he wasn't even there. No one would have believed it. This is about the best reason for Kato to be assured to be back there to be told how well the "incident" went. ********************************************************** Why not just phone him? ******************************************************** He is probably told it went great and then in the morning his planned response to the police, did O.J.'s plane crash? ************************************************************** Sorry. That is NOT what Kaelin told the police. The only source for that is that Kaelin told Eliot that he was thinking this when the cops first showed up. However, there is no record that he ever, in fact, asked the cops this. ************************************************************* Making guilty knowledge seem to not exist with Kato. *********************************************************** It is often missed that Kaelin lied about "ever having driven the Bronco", and he told this lie BEFORE he was "officially" informed of the murders. Now, had he told this lie to the cops AFTER he was notified, he would be in the position of of pleading fear and not wanting to get involved. However, havind told this lie BEFORE (supposedly) learning of the murders, Kaelin displayed guilty knowledge that the Bronco was used in the murders. ***********************************************************

His going with O.J. to get the Hamburger gives him what he needs to not give the alibi O.J. really had. *********************************************************** Good grief, what does THAT sentence mean? What in the world was this alibi that OJ "really had"? ************************************************************ I don't believe they got all real phone records and only forged one. No way will I believe that. There are many ways to make sure Kato was where he was that night, but why plan to plant the glove there and not drip blood in that direction? This shows his changing his mind where to plant the glove because of what Kato said. This is the problem with this case. So many dichotomies.
