I don't feel betrayed by anything you did. I'm just a bit confused and a whole lot frustrated.
If you look closely at the words and actions of Kato and Kardashian in context, you get key information that works for O.J. and against the killer and his accomplices, whoever they might be.
Of all the people who learned about the cuts on O.J. 's finger the night of the murders, Kardashian was the only one to brush it off and to confirm O.J.'s story that he had cuts like that on his hands all the time. He said that he never saw O.J. hit Nicole but he had seen Nicole hit O.J. These statements alone could have gone far to clear O.J. early in the investigation if anyone in a position of authority had paid attention to them. It took a long time to turn Kardshian around. The "evidence" he was seeing and hearing for the first time during the criminal trial of O.J. the-spose-abuser was personally devistating. On top of that, he could not figure out how "O.J.'s blood" got on Bundy and Goldmans blood got inside of O.J.'s Bronco. And on top of THAT everyone was beginning to look at Kardashian as O.J.'s accplace to murder because he was the one who picked up O.J.'s bag at the airport. That's where the story of Kardashian and the bag came from -- Marcia Clark's insinuaton that O.J. gave the knife, the shoes and the bloody clothes to Kardashian in the "missing" bag that he "refused" to let Kato load into the limo.
Kato's testimony proved that O.J. told the truth about his alibi. He confirmed that HE (Kato, not O.J.) was the one who ASKED O.J. if he had overslept and Allan Park was wrong in ascribing that comment to O.J. The timeline he gave in '94 (no time to think) and '95 (plenty of time to think) for his walk to check the thumps meshed with Rachel's and Park's. What he said he did after he heard the thumps proved, absolutely, that O.J. could not have come from the path where the glove was found. He verified O.J.'s story that he (Kato) and the maid had access to the Bronco when O.J. was out of town and he made himself a potenal target of the investigation by failing to identify O.J.'s clothng (READ THE TRANSCRIPTS!) after the recital as a match for the blue-black fibers and by failing to produce the spare key. He also failed to identfy O.J.'s mood as being dark and menacing when he and O.J. went to McDonalds. He said that he did not see a cut on O.J.'s finger at all before O.J. left for LAX.
The only way to cast doubt on O.J.s alibi is to discredit Kato as a witness, except for portions of his testimony specially selected and edited to fit a given theory. That 's what Petrochelli did by suggesting that Katio lied about his actions that night. He wrote in his book about the case that Kato must have been the one who cleaned up after O.J. because O.J. simply did not have time to do it himself.
The only thing you get out of trashing Kardashian and Kato as active players in the killings are different scenarios to explain how O.J. could have been guilty, and different ways of demonstrating that anyone who says that Fuhrman did it is a liar or a fool. --Jasper
