That's what I figured.
One reason that some reasonable people believe O.J. is guilty is because they took the time to work out the problems with the drug hit theory relative to the astronomical order of improbably that so much evidence would point to O.J. and seem (on the surface) to exclude anyone else. I know that the defense floated a drug hit scenario to account for some of the evidence but only as part of a strategy to create reasonable doubt. The problem now is that so many people have latched onto that theory that it doesn't take much to keep the story alive. It's like "O.J." murder weapon that keeps turning up here and there. All you have to do is present the idea and a certain percentage of people are going to buy it, no questions asked. Another thing that happens is larger percentage of people are going to laugh at it and use it as an excuse to dump on any scenario involving more than one killer. I don't know who is responsible for that story, but whoever it is doesn't want anyone to look for the truth. Sounds like another red herring to me. --Jasper
