Oddly before reading this, I wrote something similar about groups of people in an email. People who are angry to the point of hatred are in fact angry at themselves because they see power outside themselves because they fear their own powerlessness that they have not developed from within. In other words they have poor self esteem and can only find it in groups that point fingers at others, saying I am better than they are. The Christian right is so scared of hell, they can only simlimunat this fear by hatred of the group concept of sin and those who they see are seducing them into sin. Not exactly the same, but sure you see the similarities. I would guess that those blacks hate their background as they see it as making them powerless, believing power is without and not within. My anger with biggots may well stem from the kernal of biggitry in my background that is in my subconcious that I see mirrowed and magnified in white supremists. The black policeman may also see his power as coming from belonging to the police, which are primarily white and predudice. this is too deep for me, not sure I know what I am talking about. Or is it the Stockhome syndrom being played out. In some ways they are to be pittied, the price that they pay is great indead.
