Darden got her to say this story many different ways as well which is why there is so much confusion in it. So many people just didn't listen to the cross examination because it was usually, on the prosecution side, all about their character and not issues of the trial. Some questions did get asked in the middle of the stupid questions and irrelevant attempts to discredit or scare the witnesses. If you recall several of the Defense witnesses didn't show because they were afraid of their lives being ruined by the prosecution yet it was always translated by the media the other way around, that the defense was going to ruin people. I do know at one point the footsteps was a point of contention of when she first said she heard only footsteps during cross examination. It is hard to find since it isn't real available on the web. At least not for me to find. Just like the little thing in a door that is part of an alarm that no one sees unless they open the door when the alarm is on, then you know real fast. No reason to say that the alarm is connected to a certain door, if it isn't true. Petromalt went through that several different ways in deposition until it was absurd. Then it was discovered that O.J. Simpson had a master key for all the doors at Rockingham.
