Jasper, It puts a different slant on things when you are Looking for certain things in the videos (other videos and still shots) and you find that they are on commercial break when they are shown and/or that they are (deliberately) quick action. By that I mean that they are on the screen less than 5 seconds. Not enough time for someone to get off a camera shot of them --without several tries at it. Or they must have one of those Snappy gadgets or something like it (that I don't even believe was in exsistence for lay people in 94) in order to get a copy or photo of what they have shown.
And you can "bet" on which ones are done this way---the BM shots of the shoes and soles, the crime scene and others.
I think this was deliberate. You "see" the photo board of the shoes-soles-etc. but you don't see it long enough for it to really "register" in your brain.
I have had to replay--repeatedly--a less than 5 second "glimse" that were were given during the trial of many things. And rewinding and watching it again and again is still hard to "register" everything in the photo or scene. And it is So short that it is even hard to get Pause/Still going on your VCR...which on mine is not a good shot anyway--with lines all through it.
Until you watch videos like this--your are thinking--of course they showed the crime scene and the landing above it (which isn't really a landing in most shots but another pathway). Then you look at the video again and find that they almost broke the land speed record by just briefly (and I do mean Briefly) panning the area. So what you have is a believe that you SAW the area--but you didn't really see it enough for ANY details.
Case in point: On a Dateline that they were talking of the civil trial, they have a camera person walking south on Bundy from the north. They turn the corner onto the Bundy walkway (this is later with no blood) and show up the walkway and onto the area above the steps. But the time spent on the sidewalk and making the turn is Much longer than the time they show up the walkway to the condo. Yet I was able to get the VCR on Pause. And guess what? In this shot, you see a yard lamp post on the left in the terraced area. (If I had not stopped the film, I wouldn't have seen it). It is one of those free standing about 6 ft. tall outside lights. I have NEVER EVER seen that before.
Then last night in another Dateline where they are talking about the OJ VIDeo he made, they have a camera person after the murders while blood is still there pan up the bloody walkway (while standing on the sidewalk--and NOT with a telephoto lens) and up the steps to the condo. And guess what? In that video the three steps above are just feet (not the 17 feet that we see in still shot after still shot of the blood footprints in that area) from the 4 steps. In fact, what is Shocking--is that in this film it is VERY MUCH LIKE the diagrma shown to Rossi where in it they have Nicole BETWEEN the two sets of steps (which she wasn't) but the steps are the same. They are not "smaller", they appear to be the "same size" as the 4 in front. It is TRUlY a LANDING not another pathway. The angle is such though that you can't see the corner of the glassed in living room or the downspout, or the lamp post.
VAnnatter and Riske and others said repeatedly
that above those 4 steps was a landing. THIS is a landing.
The "effect" of these videos I have seen and photos taken (like those on Dick Wagner's site) is that I have seen several different but very similar locations.
And until I relocate on my videos and attempt to take a photo of it, I can't prove it...but the video I saw taken allegedly on the 17th by someone on the pathway where the prints were found (the ones they used repeatedly), shows the pathway going down to a set of steps, a landing, and then you turn left to go down the steps where Nicole was found. It is like nothing that ever showed up on the diagrams and why I argued Wagner down that the front diagrams were wrong. In this video it shows that the back of the landing behind Nicole is a solid concrete wall.
This is the SAME way that it is photographed on Wagner's site later when some "improvements" were made. You went up the 4 steps and have to turn left to get on up to the condo. You can't go straight because there is a concrete wall.
So Jasper, if I had been organizational skills I would have found this video again already. But, alas, that is not the case with me.
What is so compelling about THAT video is that it appears to have been taken by a layperson. Not a professional cameraman. It appears to be taken with just a handheld camcorder. The person pans down from the wooden front door and that area, down past the glassed living room, and turn on down the pathway to the steps. (showing the pathway) It is like the person has the camcorder up to their face and is getting shots of the tiles below him and the general area that gets included as he does that.
Bottom Line: All these videos and still shots appear to be taken of similar but different locations. Commom Factors : a front gate, fence and mailbox to the left side. The shots are so fast that those things are about all your mind has time to register before the video is gone.
And if you don't play them over repeatedly, you don't notice that the things Behind the fence appear different in each one.
