Okay, first this is tantamount to saying that the framers would have had godlike knowledge that (1) the person who they wanted to hear the thumps would in fact hear them, instead of being distracted by the phone, radio, tv, being on the toilet or in a different part of the house, or whatever, and (2) given that the 'target' person hears the thumps, more godlike knowledge that this person would choose to mention the thumps to OJ instead of just writing them off as racoons going through the garbage or whatever.
Second, and more importantly: THERE WAS NO WAY THAT GIGI COULD BE EXPECTED TO HEAR THUMPS ON THE SOUTH PATHWAY, ANYWAY! This is because Gigi's room did not have an exterior wall on the south path. While there was ANOTHER "maid's room" in the eastmost room of the guest annex, Gigi was not staying in that one, but in one off a short hallway from the south path to the kitchen. There would have been absolutely no way anyone outside the main house could have known where in the main house Gigi was. *** "...and it would have shown in his face and in his manner when the limo driver arrived. Chances are he would have taken a gun and checked on the thumps himself..." *** From OJ's own account, he DID take Kaelin seriously enough to begin to go search the south path, until he noticed exactly how late he was while looking for a flashlight in the kitchen. He also took the apparent danger seriously enough that, at his first opportunity, he called Kaelin in order to get the burglar alarm turned on. *** "...He most likely would have appeared as shook up as Kato was. Kato was as shaken as the picture on his wall..." *** Rather ironic statement since there is no corroborative evidence to Kaelin's "moving picture" story. In fact, it turned out to be impossible to reproduce that effect. The picture never moved. There was no telling what he would do. If the conspirators had there druthers, I'm sure they would have picked GiGi.
