That's the point. In all likelihood the blood drops came from the tip of a knife -- IF they were left there inadvertently. YET, Mark Fuhrman says in his book that he was the one who proposed the bleeding killer theory and his diagram was, in part, to illustrate why he came to the conclusion that the perpetrator was bleeding.
Please check out my illustrations in Iago, Chapter 30: Blood Trails. The size of the drop is determined by two things, the volume of blood being shed and the distance from the source. What gives it the "round" look is the extremely slow pace of the person who left them. The guy had to be practically standing still to leave a circular blood drop. This guy left five of them.
I'm doing more work on this that you will see in The Smoking Gun 2 (I'm working on Chapter 4). The bottom line is this: Of all the possible scenarios to account for the size, shape and location of the blood drops (location according to Marcia and Mark) a bleeding killer is the least likely and the most difficult to discern. As you said (and as I have said on countless talk shows) the most logical explanation for the blood drops were a dripping knife or razor. Why then propose a "bleeding killer" scenario, which coincidentally coincides with the fact that O.J. had a cut on his finger?
Many people were put off by the coincidence of O.J.'s cut finger and the fact that his ex and a younger male were slashed to death. It was just too much of a coincidence to buy given the idea that there was a blood trail that ran from Bundy to Rockingham. But when you see that the three blood drops the Dennis Fung marked on the driveway at the Rockingham gate had to have been left there by O.J. coming out of the gate, the bleeding killer theory begins to look like too much of a coincidence. It is no coincidence. The killer had to know that O.J. was bleeding in order to leave those blood drops and to make it necessary to leave the left-hand glove. That fact that he did such a poor job of it tells me that it was a last minute adjustment - an improvisation to deal with the fact that O.J. had cut himself - again. According to Robert Kardashian he cut himself often.
So, how to explain the bleeding killer theory? A Rockingham observer, someone with all of Ron Shipp's credentials including the ability to be mistaken for O.J. if he were seen getting into the Bronco ( the dome light in the Bronco was missing). For the frame-up to work there HAD TO BE someone there to watch O.J., to help establish a false timeline and to tell the killer if anything went wrong. O.J. cutting himself BEFORE the murders is something that went wrong. The Rockingham blood drops are O.J.'s alibi. They are conclusive proof that he was where he said he was doing what he said he was doing.
The bleeding killer theory is a stong indicaton that the person who proposed it knew at the time that O.J. had a cut on his left hand. -- Jasper
