You did see the photo -- a zillion times. Marcia leaned on it heavily and showed it in her summation. The location of that one blood drop close to that one left shoe was obvious and jarring. It couldn't have been better placed for a photograph than if it had been put there by an artist - someone with an eye for artistic composition. If you study all of the photos Mark Fuhrman had anything to do with you will find evidence moved again and again to make a better picture composition. Artists do this all the time.
You are correct about the shape of the blood drop (Iago, chapter 30: Blood Trails). That was a key feature in the defense's argument that the blood drop was planted and one of the few arguments they made about planted blood that made sense. Where they went wrong was in suggesting that it was put there by Vannatter after O.J.'s blood sample was taken and put in the vial. It couldn't have been O.J.'s blood (Dr. Lee demonstrated that the blood drops on Rockingham came from a much smaller cut). It had to have been put there deliberately by the killer - a killer who knew that O.J. had cut himself somewhere on his left hand but one who didn't know how badly or exactly where. That's why the left-hand glove on Bundy had to come off. Everything about that glove and the blood drop next to the left shoeprint is wrong including Mark Fuhrman's bleeding killer theory.
John was right about the police and prosecutors being able to argue the Bundy blood drop evidence any way they wanted. If that one photo of the blood drop next to the left shoe had not seemed to work with other evidence of O.J.'s guilt they would have simply ignored it. But I don't see how any of those blood drops could have been deposited by accident. ---Jasper
