As we always find it informative what MF does and does not put in his book, I went to look at his diagram of the condo.
He shows an open door on the porch--yet has the prints by the glassed front door. In fact, THOSE prints are the ONLY ones that MF puts on his diagram. None that go all the way to the back of the property.
What does he say? He came in the back with Riske. Although he had been in the front with Riske he says nothing about seeing the prints at that time.
He says he comes out the front door (from the garage) after having passed thru the house to get there. Interestingly enough he says he sees lighted candles in the bathroom on this trip from the garage to the front door.
He says Riske takes them out on the porch and shows them the prints. Then he says from the landing they are within feet of both victims. Then says they leave the porch and go to the rear.
All deception. Every bit of it. To disguise where he and Phillips and Riske were, from where they could see what, etc.
He says nothing of leaving the porch and carefully going past the shoeprints to get to the landing. He interchanges the porch and landing in his discussion.
I find it extremely interesting that he ONLY has prints up on the landing by the glass front door. The ones highlighted by the living room light and none for the rest of the walkway.
He does say the prints fade out at the back gate. How convenient. HOw timely. He says that Riske points out the blood trail as they walk. Interestingly enough, he doesn't have the blood trail of blood drops on his diagram either.
