The incident was in 1984. In O.J.'s deposition he explains that it was fall of 84 because he went to work for NBC in 1985 and that would have made it nearly impossible for him to have even been in LA, It is in O.J. Simpson's deposition on askoj.com which I can't copy from or else lose my membership. Westec was called and either they called the police or else the police came by and saw the ruckus and stopped, it was Mark Furhman, apparently just after he went back to work after being denied his disability in 1983.
