Bobsinhawaii – Thank you for posting on Iago. We have been hoping for a long time that you would get in touch. ............. With Fuhrman you have to be extremely careful with what he says and what he merely implies. When you check the transcripts of what he told Marcia Clark on the witness stand about the Police Protective League seminar in La Quinta, you will see that he only IMPLIED that the left at or around 8:00 p.m. What he actually SAID was that he left BEFORE 8:00 p.m. ................That means he could have let a half hour earlier or even earlier than that without being subject to impeachment on his testimony. And that’s why we pressed Bill Pavelic so hard on what he did to determine that Mark Fuhrman had an alibi for the time of the killing. He was the lead investigator for the defense. It was his job to check out Fuhrman’s alibi. Yet, in Johnnie Cochran’s closing arguments he left the question open. ................Huh? ...............How could there be any question about whether or not Fuhrman had an alibi for the time of the murders? The fact that Marcia Clark asked him for one was enough to raise a red flag as it did with you in asking him why she asked him that question. ...............Fuhrman’s response to you was astounding. He said that it was because the defense was trying to argue that he planted evidence against O.J. – which makes no sense with respect to Fuhrman the detective. He wasn’t called in on the case until hours later and the defense was trying to argue that he found the right-hand glove on Bundy and planted it on Rockingham. I was impressed by your wisdom in just letting him talk. ................The defense never looked at Fuhrman as a murder suspect.
