Jean— I think your analysis is sound. At any rate, it breaks down the same way for me that it does for you. It could be that both of us are wrong. Won’t be able to tell unless someone comes up with something we missed that makes more sense. .............. The BIG question for me is, why does he care so much about our site? None of us agree on everything. Some of us – including you and me – have even had some ugly disagreements on the board about evidence in the O.J. murder case and what it means. There is, in fact, very little agreement here on who committed the murders and why. ............ The one thing most of us do have in common is the conviction that O.J. didn’t do it. Even at that we have fundamental disagreements that we have never been able to settle about the evidence that proves it. “Discrediting” Smartfellows as a group, therefore makes no sense. Furthermore, it is impossible to do because we have no sign up requirement and therefore no membership list. All we are is a loose collection of people interested enough in the O.J. case to follow what goes on here and participate CONSTRUCTIVELY in our common attempts to find and expose the truth. That’s why I think his focus is on trying to discredit me, primarily by linking me to ideas presented by others who have posted here that I don’t agree with. . ...............There has got to be something about our OPEN PROCESS that is so upsetting to Pavelic and others with a vested interest in the image assassination of O.J. Simpson to target us for his “special attention.” If Pavelic wants his readers to know what we do here, all he has to do is put up a link in his site to ours. All he can do by including us in his “book” (for which he offers no verifiable evidence that it exists, like the ISBN number, the publisher’s name or pre-ordering instructions) is to select a few excerpts and give them his spin. Surely he can find a better way to pad his book than to use “excerpts” from the Iago Discussion Board. ............... You know as well as I do that no “bloggers” from Smartfellows asked him to come here to respond to anything. Smartfellows don’t “blog.” We work. And nobody comes “from here” to do anything. So, if two people who ever posted here did contact Pavelic and ask him to post here they were not people who could make any legitimate claim to being “one of us.” ..............You can bet you boots that he came here for more than one reason. You can also bet your boots that one of those reasons was to find out what we knew about something big that was going to come out about Fuhrman – like his “real alibi.” ............. Pavelic can’t claim that he knew Fuhrman lied about his PPL alibi because he was cheating on his wife (and therefore could not have committed the murders) if we had that story covered. He found out that some of us did. His problem now is to figure out how much we know and how we know it to see how he can tell THAT STORY, if possible, without it coming back to bite him and Fuhrman in the ass. I am eager to see how he does it. –Jasper
