Rovaan – ……….I will order the book. ……….That business about Gilbert is damn interesting. It says that all of O.J.’s planning up to the last hour or so had to be geared toward catching Gilbert (who stole the items) and Beardsley (who sent Riccio the itemized list) with his goods, not Fromong and Beardsley. …………It also makes nonsense out of Alexander and McClinton’s story that O.J. told them he wanted them to bring guns when they met earlier that afternoon – at a time when O.J. thought he was going to be confronting Gilbert. According to that story, O.J. was concerned that FROMONG might have a gun because he had a reputation for carrying one. There was never any such concern expressed about Gilbert or Beardsley, thus no reason whatever for O.J. to have wanted anyone in his “posse” to have guns. ………..Another thing that occurred to me when I thought about the tape recorder that Riccio found between the two cups was that the cops pulled a fast one. I’m guessing that they found the recorder early in the search, ran off a duplicate of the tape, and then put the tape back into Riccio’s reorder with the two cups CAREFULLY placed to make it look like they missed seeing the recorder. Just don’t see how TWO cups could have been ACCIDENTALLY placed by cops on the alleged crime scene where Riccio fond them, COINCIDENTALLY hiding the most important evidence in the room. ………..If the Las Vegas detectives had a copy of the tape that no one knew they had, it meant that they could check everyone’s stories of what happened in the room against an objective record of what DID happen. Even if the quality of the recording was bad and not every word or sound was identifiable, there would have been enough to get some idea of what actually happened. The recording I transcribed from TMZ, which could not have been as good as the one on the original tape would have given the detectives a lot to work with http://smartfellowspress.com/_0907/000000bb.htm --Jasper
