Looking through the ’99 Iago archives I came across our first investigation of flowers as a relevant factor in the Bundy murders. Charlie and I were trying to identify the flowers in the Mothers poem photo in Mark Fuhrman’s Murder in Brentwood book. Although we didn’t have enough undisputed information to know what they meant, we saw enough in the photo to tell us that everything in it was carefully contrived. ………… We didn’t know back then that we were dealing with a code. Everything about that photo got muddled for years mainly because of Lauren Cohen’s claim that she authored the poem and placed it where it was photographed. So, we put the whole matter on the back burner of the Iago boards until June or July of 2006 when Buster saw something in the photo that made him think we should perhaps be looking for a code. ………… Buster was right. By then we knew that delphiniums were the flowers in the photo. There was a pattern of delphiniums in movies related to Mark Fuhrman’s discoveries, observations and theories about the Bundy murders. However, the pattern did not take a definite shape until we tracked Lauren Cohen’s story to photos that proved she could not have been correct about writing the poem shown in Murder in Brentwood. What we saw in photos taken with HER poem wrapped around the delphiniums was a bouquet of carnations lying on the ground. ………… In light of the evidence pointing to O.J. committing the murders himself as well as the evidence established several months earlier of a murder for hire plot at O.J.’s behest, Rovaan saw a possible code with the delphiniums and the carnations. If O.J. was framed and the decoders were in the movies, she reasoned that the delphiniums or the carnations up or down could tell the conspirators which frame to use depending on the strength of O.J.’s alibi. Sure enough, the Fuhrman-related movies where murders were committed in persons were overwhelmingly associated with delphiniums and murders by proxy were overwhelmingly associated with carnations. ……….. The violet is Fuhrman’s birthday flower. All kinds of flowers in shades of purple tended to be associated with particular actors, namely O.J. Simpson, Donald Southerland, Robert Wise and Bruce Willis. Roses appeared prominently with murders involving, psychics, time travel and Donald Southerland. It was difficult to see a pattern with daisies because they appeared so frequently in bouquets with other kinds of flowers. ………One movie, however, puts daisies front and center. It’s a 1944 movie called Experiment Perilous with Hedy Lamarr as Allita and Paul Lukas as Nick, her wealthy, famous and much older husband who murders his sister and a young man he fears is the real father of his son. http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0036807/ . The movie begins aboard a train in a driving rainstorm with a chance meeting between the hero and the woman who is going to be murdered. The daisies, delivered on Allita’s birthday are a tipoff to Nick’s sister that her crazy brother is setting into motion a diabolical plan.
