I didn't see the movie but as Junot said and I agreed, what I heard of it wasn't good. It was a big flop and might have started Nicole and Tom Cruise down the divorce path. Many hard feelings surfaced during the making of that movie from what I read and heard about.
What I see --from what you said---is that someone got in over their head. Someone saw something that they weren't supposed to see. ALL of it perverted and gruesome. Someone is tricked, intimidated, etc. The character (Tom Cruise) doesn't know if he's coming or going or who to trust or even if what he sees he can trust.
That is a Perfect general summary of this case actually.
In real life, Stanley K. had ties to Don Simpson and Heidi Fleiss and was considered to be "amoral" to a point and Don Simpson was definitely considered to be "amoral".
Answer me this? Was where the blindfolded piano player at--arranged "parties" or get togethers that were highly secret?
Swirling around the OJ case and Don Simpson and Heidi Fleiss --there are arranged parties involving sex and drugs. Prostitution as well. In Simpson's case and a few others--rumors of homosexual sex as well.
Is it important that Cruise's character is a doctor? We have several kinds of doctors in and around the case. Ron Feishman, Faye's boyfriend--Christian Reichardt is a chiropractor, Don Simpson had a doctor die at his house in the fall of 95. There was talk of prescription drug usage both in the OJ case, AC and with Don Simpson and that doctor (both of which had over 20 kinds of prescription drugs in their systems at death).
And we have that psychiatrist -what's her name-Ameli that both Ron and Nicole were seeing and she was threatened and her office broken into for RON"S files.
Eyes Wide Shut---an analogy for someone (or all) running around thinking they know what is going on but don't---they are missing the big picture?? Missing the substance of what is going on?
You tell me. I didn't see the movie and don't plan to.
charlie Do you think it is anyway important at all that lesbian/homosexual rumors have swirled around Cruise and Kidman for Years?
