Miss Marple, I have heard that too---about it being a nearby station---and not there on a call who came to the scene and pronounced her dead.
I heard they were passing by coming back from another call. (think how long it was between them being called and when they arrived?) Is this part of the LA scandal that emergency calls are long delayed? In our case, calling 911 got the EMT's here in just a few short minutes. And if it hadn't been for 8AM traffic, they'd had been here sooner.
I Mentioned the possibility that they ID'd her with photos from the house but perhaps it was because they knew her.
And I have also wondered about how Bushey knew (or who knew) that they had joint custody.
At one time I knew the name of the EMT (Bailey mentioned it in court and Clark about had a seizure).
Could this be why they (EMT's and firemen) were barred from even being mentioned much less testify in court---because they knew her too and had info that might have compromised the case?
If they knew who she was from the getgo--all this hand wringing over who was the victim is null and void and very suspicious.
Since Riske's partner was supposed to have called an ambulance as soon as they got there (12:10) and the death declaration wasn't made until 12:45, shows a delay. It didn't take that long to decide that they were dead. It is not like they made an attempt to "revive" them as they would in some cases. Actually the 12:45 time fits more in line with the coroner's report of the cops arriving at 12:30.
But I did hear myself that it wasn't that station's "call" and they were just passing by and stopped. I even think at some point that was said in court. (perhaps the prelim's)
It never made sense to me that the guy who made the call and went into the scene was not allowed to testify to what he saw and when. And other observations.
