It's obvious that there a number of possible scenarios which could explain what Heidstra and other heard and saw. That's the problem, and we may never know which scenario is closest to what actually happened.
IMO, Wagner's latest article adds to the confusion with all the assumptions and charts.
There are few facts which are hard to dispute.
These include:
1- the fact that the Akita was heard barking as early as 10:15 or 10:20;
2- A gate was slammed after a person yelled: "hey, hey, hey"; (the arguing or other noise doesn't add much)
3- Since there were no paw prints near the prints left by the person wearing the BMaglis, the Akita either could not or did not pursue BM to the back even though the front gate was open.
(BTW, Did anyone ever consider a scenario where Ron came in from the back gate?)
4- Since there were bloody paw prints leading out the front and the gate was open, someone left the premises from the front;
5- Since Sidney and Heidstra both heard the "hey, hey, hey" at least one of the various people who heard the barking, were walking in the area or were otherwise nearby, must have heard something as well;
6- More than one vehicle was seen by Heidstra, yet nearly everyone seems to need to ignore this fact.
In the end, what we have is nothing less than a large number of possibilities.
