There is one thing that I did not realize for a very long time because in my head, I had the neighborhood reversed in my head. It was a right-left problem. Much like Jasper's misunderstanding of where the alley was that Heistra walked thru.
It also had to do with not realizing on what side of the street the condo was on. Photos gave the impression (to me) that the condo was to the right when in fact it was to the left as Schwab turned up Bundy.
That intersection--with the house on the corner that sits facing the corner where Schwab said he found the dog barking at it, is the SAME intersection that Heistra saw the light colored SUV.
So, judging the time that Scwhab goes by, the dog is IN the insection barking when Schwab finds him.
So, at some point, Heistra crosses that intersection himself before he stops under the tree and looks back. Sometime after that the dog actually comes down to the corner and is in the street barking at the corner house when Schwab arrives to find him. Depending on when Heistra moved to his front steps and continued to hear the dog bark (and it is still barking but not as much) when he goes inside. there is that "time problem" or just when Schwab went by and what Heistra saw and heard.
I mentioned this earlier on this site. You have the light colored SUV perhaps getting to the intersection at approx 10:47 ??? and you have Schwab in the SAME area and you have Heistra looking down the street at the same time. All of which is UNDER a good streetlight.
