1st & Ten

 (1984 1990)

The 1984 pilot episode of HBO's 1st & Ten introduces Mark Fuhrman's Idaho hunting buddy Marshall Teague as a California Bulls football player and Ruta Lee as the team's publicity director. A few episodes into season 1, Sam Scarber as the Bull's star running back injures himself in a running-through-the-airport car rental commercial. The director turns to his assistant and says, "Get a hold of O.J.'s agent. Make sure he's available." In the 1st & Ten universe, the man who looks and sounds exactly like O.J. Simpson is an invisible Bulls superstar running back named T.D. Parker.

Season 2 of 1st & Ten opens with O.J. Simpson making his first appearance as T. D. Parker. In season 3 he moves from the team's head coach to its general manager. Delta Burke is the Bulls' owner. Roy Thinnes is her scheming silent partner. She holds a hand full of diamonds in the form of a diamond-studded broach he gives her that spells out "BULLS." When she thanks him he tells her, "You already have a diamond, T.D. Parker." In episode 9 of season 3, T.D breaks the heart of his mistress Kay with a speech about his wife and child  when he is inducted into the mythical North American Football League Hall of Fame.

The actress playing Kay, T.D. Parker's secretary and mistress, is Alexa Hamilton

A one-of-a kind diamond ring was presented to O.J. Simpson upon his 1985 induction into the real NFL Hall of Fame. That was the year Mark Fuhrman falsely claimed he went to O.J.'s home on a domestic dispute call. He wrote about it in a February 1989 letter to the Los Angeles City Attorney.

Christopher Meloni, who plays Mark Fuhrman in Murder in Greenwich, made his first appearance on 1st & Ten as the Bull's quarterback Johnny Gunn, # 13, on New Years Day 1989. But the most important actor in the series relative to 5 Card Stud, is Charles Meshack, the 1st & 10 bartender in season 2, episode 8. Note the Boston Celtic's banner over Meshack the bartender's right shoulder in the bottom-right screenshot.

You won't find Charles Meshack's name in the 1st & Ten credits but you can't mistake him as the bartender in Action Jackson (1988) and a preacher in C.I.A. Code Name: Alexa ('92). In that movie Lorenzo Lamas is CIA Agent Mark Graver. O.J. is LAPD Det. Nick Murphy working on a multiple homicide case in which Meshack's character performing a jaw-dropping funeral service, is the first victim. Keep in mind the German Stiletto that Fuhrman and Roberts didn't find when they searched O.J.'s house. Also keep in mind the  "ski mask" in Mark Fuhrman's notes that turned into a "black knit cap" in his book and what he said on tape about killing gang members, pimps and drug dealers.

Now look at what you get with Charles Meshack as a minister performing a funeral service for a gang member, pimp, drug dealer and killer in C.I.A. Code Name: Alexa.

Notice that the killer with the German Stiletto wears a "ski mask" like a "black knit cap."
